Location: Office-based role in Hertfordshire (minimum 2 days per week in office; hybrid working permitted but subject to change)

Job Description
We are seeking experienced Contract Clinical Operations Leads (COLs) to support the delivery of global clinical trials across all phases. This role is embedded within a large global clinical development organization and plays a crucial part in advancing clinical research to improve patient outcomes.
As a Clinical Operations Lead, you will manage clinical trial operations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure quality and compliance with global regulatory standards. You will be expected to bring operational excellence, strategic oversight, and a patient-focused mindset to trial delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage clinical trial operational plans and budgets
- Lead country feasibility and site selection activities
- Oversee vendor selection, performance, and alignment to study goals
- Ensure ICH/GCP compliance and adherence to internal quality standards
- Forecast and manage clinical supplies to support site readiness
- Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders
- Foster collaboration across global cross-functional teams
- Contribute to delivery teams and operational communities
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in clinical trial operations or study management
- University degree (preferably in life sciences) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of ICH/GCP and regulatory requirements
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing global clinical studies
- Prior experience working in matrixed, cross-functional teams
