Locum Clinical Psychologist

Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Negotiable)

Flexible Working: Client is offering 1 day per week to work from home

About Dunnock View

Located in the seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea, Dunnock View is a specialist mental health service that provides care for adults (men and women) with complex psychiatric conditions, including treatment-resistant psychosis, mood disorders, and co-occurring conditions. The service offers a safe, therapeutic environment where patients can rebuild their lives and work toward independence.

Your Role

As a Clinical Psychologist, you ll play a key role in the psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention for service users. You ll work closely with the MDT (including psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, and support workers) to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and therapies
• Contribute to MDT case formulations and care planning
• Supervise and support assistant psychologists and trainees
• Deliver staff training and reflective practice
• Support service development through audits and research initiatives
  
  

• HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (or eligible for registration)
• Experience working with adults with complex mental health needs
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Commitment to recovery-oriented practice
• Compassionate, resilient, and motivated to make a difference
  
  

• Competitive salary up to £50.00 per hour
• 1 day per week to work from home
• Free registration with our agency
• Free PMVA training/ Basic Life Support and Manual Handling training
• Ongoing support on site and remotely from agency
