Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career in Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy?
We have a vacancy for a Band 7 talented Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly, dedicated community teams;helping to ensure that our children and young people in East Sussex get the start in life that they deserve. We have three clinical bases, but you will be expected to travel within East Sussex to meet the needs of the caseload.
You’ll be joining a service which is directly integrated with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, working inclinics, schools, nurseries and family homes. We are devoted to supporting children through holistic care. The work is varied, interesting, and very fulfilling.
The induction we offer to all new colleagues includes regular meetings with your line manager, clinical supervision andappraisals, as well as internal and external training opportunities. We will encourage you to participate in service improvement groups and evidence-based practice, and we’ll support you to develop your clinical skills to work with a varied paediatric caseload.

This job will be based in our Integrated Care Team which supports children and young people with complex needs both preschool and in the local special schools across East Sussex.
You will offer support through direct work with children andyoung people as well as supporting schools through our targeted and universal offer. We have established relationships with the local special schools and work with them to identify training gaps and new ways of working within the schools.
You will have knowledge of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and be willing to develop this further. There is also the opportunity to undertake dysphagia training.
As the band 7 you will lead the team and support the other team members to understand and plan their workload, whilstholding a clinical caseload yourself.
