You’ll join a flat-structured, collaborative, and fast-paced team, where your initiative and technical curiosity are valued as much as your skillset. It’s essential to have an active eDV clearance (UKIC).You’ll design, build, and automate secure cloud environments that underpin sensitive national security operations.ResponsibilitiesAutomating application and infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.Working within a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum team.Implementing CI/CD pipelines and containerised solutions.Applying security best practices within a highly classified setting.Required/Desired SkillsCloud: AWS (CloudFormation, Terraform) – Azure also considered.Automation: CI/CD pipelines (DroneCI ideal), AWS Developer Tools (CodeBuild/CodePipeline).Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.Scripting: Advanced Linux admin and Bash scripting.Tools: GitHub / GitLab, Ansible.Security: Understanding of best practices – Kubernetes security groups, HTTP headers, mutual authentication, etc.About the opportunityIdeal for ex-military candidates who’ve transitioned into cloud, platform, or DevOps roles and bring a strong engineering mindset, experience automating and optimising complex systems, and confident communication skills – able to collaborate across technical and business teams.How to applyIf you’re an ex-military engineer, systems specialist, or technologist ready to make an impact in national security, we’d love to hear from you.
