The Role

We’re seeking an Associate Director - Cloud Solution Architect (Azure Specialist) to act as a technical design authority and Azure subject matter expert across major client programmes. You’ll architect enterprise grade Azure solutions, guide delivery teams and advise senior stakeholders ensuring every solution is secure, scalable and future-proof.

As a leader in our Core Engineering Practice, you’ll:

  • Design & Lead: Define best practices for Azure architectures (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS), build landing zones, and ensure enterprise-grade governance
  • Innovate & Influence: Stay ahead of Azure advancements, shape Kubrick’s IP assets and represent us at industry events, conferences, and with tech partners (Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Mentor & Grow: Develop our internal Azure community of excellence, coach engineers and influence training for future consultants
  • Engage & Deliver: Support pre-sales, solution design, and client workshops - translating complex cloud concepts into practical solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant project delivery cycles designing and deploying Azure solutions across industries (FS&I, Energy, Public Sector a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud services (compute, networking, storage, security, data services) and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Expertise in Landing Zones, EntraID, Hub & Spoke topologies and Cloud Security patterns (Zero Trust, Defence in Depth, Principle of Least Privilege)
  • Background engineering with strong skills in Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong communicator—able to influence stakeholders and simplify complex technical concepts
  • Bonus: AWS/GCP experience, degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering
