This role is part of the Technical Success team within the Developer Success focus area and is hands-on, deeply technical, and solution-focused with opportunities to work on challenging projects and influence core Microsoft products. The role is flexible up to 50% remote.ResponsibilitiesCustomer-Centric Approach: Understand customers’ developer-centric priorities and success measures, with a focus on GitHub adoption and impact. Innovate with Developer solutions that drive business value. Ensure solution excellence: deliver high-performance, secure, scalable, maintainable, repeatable, reusable, and reliable deployments; gather insights from customers and partners.Business Impact: Drive consumption growth by enhancing Customer Success and helping customers extract value from Microsoft investments. Curate and produce high-quality guidance for internal and external communities. Unblock customer challenges by leveraging subject matter expertise and best practices; build repeatable IP/assets to create velocity in deployment and drive customer value.Technical Leadership: Architect developer solutions aligned with business and IT needs; create roadmaps, lead POCs and MVPs, ensure long-term technical viability. Advocate for customers; collaborate with Engineering to address blockers and influence product improvements; stay updated on market trends and educate customers about Microsoft Developer technologies; promote reusability and share IP to accelerate customer success.QualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or Business Applications consulting OR equivalent experience.Additional Or Preferred QualificationsBusiness Value: ability to convey business needs and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers.Trusted Advisership: ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders.Situational fluency and insightful listening: interpret cues and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs.TechnicalBroad technical experience in foundational security, DevOps practices, and architecture design, with depth in one or more GitHub solution areas (e.g., Copilot, Advanced Security, Actions, or Enterprise Administration).Deep GitHub domain expertise and hands-on experience with these products at an expert level.Proficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages; ability to integrate GitHub into development workflows and platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Codespaces, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker).Experience architecting enterprise-grade, Developer-focused cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) from MVPs to production deployments.Strong DevOps understanding and CI/CD toolchains with expertise in GitHub Actions, Codespaces, and workflow automation for enterprise deployments.Knowledge of GitHub concepts (Git, branching, repositories, PR workflows) and integration with tools (VS Code, Docker, Kubernetes).Security and compliance with GitHub (Advanced Security, Dependabot, code scanning, secret management) and governance considerations.Equal Opportunity Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
