Overview
Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for commercial contracts and a knack for managing legal risk? Gallagher, a global leader in insurance brokerage and risk management, is seeking a talented Solicitor to join our Legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, provide strategic legal advice, and contribute to transformational projects across the UK and EMEA. This role can be based in any of our Gallagher offices across the UK on a hybrid basis.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Act as the Legal lead on material commercial and regulatory arrangements, aligning legal review with business objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, Client Services Agreements, Insurer TOBAs, Delegated Authority Agreements, and more.
- Provide legal counsel on regulatory and legal change programmes, representing the Commercial Contracts team in transformational projects.
- Manage a high volume of contract matters across the UK and EMEA, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Collaborate with external counsel, managing engagement and budgets as needed.
- Deliver legal training to trainees, paralegals, and non-lawyers, fostering a culture of legal awareness.
- Develop legal templates, playbooks, and efficiency initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, across Gallagher’s businesses in the UK and EMEA.
About You
- Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts.
- Experience within the Insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the FCA regulations.
- Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and commercial awareness skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
