MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading international food manufacturer on the search for a Commercial Director (UK & Ireland). This is a permanent hybrid role in England, UK.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead and inspire a high-performing team across sales, account management, business development, insights, and category management.
This role will drive commercial growth for a leading international food manufacturer within the chilled and frozen sector. Managing a diverse and dynamic portfolio of major retailers and discounters, across the UK and Irish markets.
The Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, delivering results, and strengthening relationships with key customers to maximise revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and execute the overall commercial strategy in line with business objectives.
- Lead and motivate sales, account management, business development, insights, and category management teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and discounters.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to drive growth and category development.
- Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and optimise commercial processes.
- Utilise market and consumer insights to inform decision‑making and strategy.
- Champion cross‑functional collaboration and effective communication across the business.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive commercial leadership experience within the own label/chilled and frozen food sector.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and implementing successful commercial strategies across major grocery retail customers.
- Strong experience managing multi‑functional teams and complex retailer relationships.
- Excellent analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results‑driven approach.
- Experience in driving business performance and optimising commercial processes.
