We are looking for a commercial management professional to lead the management of work packages, collaborate with package managers, and report into the project commercial lead. This role includes providing risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work package and project margins through cost control systems.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
- Procurement of subcontract packages and materials including collating tender documentation and administering tenders.
- Accountable for commercial package management and reporting to the commercial lead.
- Establishing cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
- Establishing risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
- Mitigating risks and protect package/project margin.
- Enhancing profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
- Operating and collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll Need To Have
- Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management (or equivalent), CSCS.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Subcontract profit and loss reporting.
- Administering monthly commercial calendar.
- Experience in establishing cost control systems.
- Managing value engineer and cost exercises.
- Preparing monthly commercial reports.
