Community Manager

United Peoples TV is looking for a passionate and organised Community Leader to take charge of our global Manchester United fanbase across Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and beyond.
This is a unique opportunity to help grow one of football’s most engaged online communities into a real-world movement. You’ll be the engine behind our fan loyalty, live events, community content, and more.
What you’ll be doing...
Community Engagement
• Drive daily interactions across Discord, YouTube, Twitter/X, and Instagram
• Start conversations, reply to comments, and keep the energy alive
• Moderate chat spaces and maintain community standards
• Spotlight top fans, comments, and content weekly
Loyalty & Growth
• Manage member perks and giveaways
• Launch challenges, Q&As, fan-driven content, and newsletter updates
• Rework membership levels and add new perks that make fans feel special
• Grow our global fanbase and deepen loyalty through both online and offline initiatives
Event & Campaign Support
• Plan fan meetups, live shows, and UPTV events around the world
• Coordinate logistics, venues, and guests
• Collaborate closely with the wider UPTV team to align campaigns and community strategy
Growth Management & Insights
- Track and visualise key engagement metrics across Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms
- Build clear reports on community growth, campaign success, and fan sentiment
- Identify trends, spot opportunities, and feed actionable insights back to the team
- Help set and drive weekly/monthly growth goals (Discord members, social interactions, event signups, etc.)
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
• Live and breathe football culture (especially Manchester United)
• Are confident across Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and community tools
• Are highly organised and quick to respond
• Know how to create hype and make fans feel part of something bigger
The ideal candidate...
- Experienced in managing online communities
- Be UK based (to match up with when our community is online and for events)
- Be able to attend and run events and live shows
- Be a passionate Manchester United fan (not essential but the ideal candidate will be)
- Passionate about football and football culture
- Have a deep understanding about building communities and working directly with them
- Proficient with use and tracking of data for growth measuring
The role itself will be a part-time, freelance and remote role. Full details on salary expectations and growth bonuses will be provided to candidates.
