Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified, and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a successful track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring continued compliance by managing service providers and overseeing fire safety compliance across our estate.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing fire risk management, property compliance, and asset management strategies to ensure properties are safe and compliant with relevant legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

The role includes managing risk assessments, developing fire safety policies, ensuring legal compliance, collaborating with teams, and overseeing maintenance programs to promote fire safety across various sites, maintaining a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded.
• Review and maintain fire risk assessments and audit logs to identify hazards.
• Develop, review, and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
• Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
• Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
• Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on fire safety laws and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and facilities teams for effective service delivery.
• Lead fire safety meetings and facilitate communication.
• Provide leadership in fire compliance management related to risk and asset management.
• Build relationships for knowledge transfer, training, and guidance on fire safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire safety management or compliance roles, preferably in local authorities or educational settings.
• Relevant fire management qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certifications.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and emergency services is a plus.
• Ability to develop and implement risk management strategies.
