Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
This is a key fixed-term opportunity, reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, offering the chance to influence how the organisation manages regulatory change and engagement. As a core member of the team, you will play a vital role in raising awareness of regulatory matters across the Group, enhancing the maturity of our regulatory engagement approach, and leading proactive horizon scanning activities.
Over a 9-month contract period, you will support the successful delivery of the Group's compliance advisory and oversight strategy - working collaboratively across a dynamic and fast-paced business to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practice. This role is ideal for a regulatory affairs professional looking to make a meaningful impact at a strategic level.

What will your day look like?
- Lead regulatory horizon scanning and briefings, ensuring emerging regulations (PRA, FCA, ICO, etc.) are tracked, communicated, and implemented effectively.
- Provide expert advice and thought leadership, including presentations and training on regulatory matters to stakeholders across all levels of the Group.
- Support regulatory engagement and interactions, ensuring colleagues are well-briefed and responses to regulatory requests are timely and accurate.
- Represent Aldermore at external forums to gather insights, benchmark practices, and share best-in-class compliance approaches.
- Collaborate with first line teams to prepare for regulatory change and maintain up-to-date compliance policies aligned with evolving requirements.
- Support reporting to senior leadership and committees on regulatory risk appetite, change readiness, and compliance performance, while continuously improving team processes.
What do we expect from you?
- Deep technical expertise in compliance and conduct risk management, with strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, priorities, and themes.
- Proven experience in regulatory engagement, with the ability to interpret regulations and assess business impact.
- Strong strategic thinking and results-focused mindset, with the ability to provide challenge, support, and effective 'read across' of regulatory change.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels and across functions.
- Highly organised with exceptional time management, prioritisation, and attention to detail.
- Collaborative and relationship-driven, promoting positive customer outcomes and fostering effective stakeholder engagement.
