Overview

ICG is seeking interested and available professionals to respond to a service request from a global strategic partner. The service request is for a Financial Controller. The role is a full-time hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivables, payables, and all other ledgers. The "go to" for all accounting queries.
  • Manage day-to-day cash flow and assist in monthly/quarterly cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly management information and manage the monthly close and reporting process, ensuring robust control, processing, and review.
  • Consolidation of group financial statements and process the correct eliminations along with reconciliation of intercompany ledgers.
  • Analyze data, investigate variances, perform relevant adjustments, and interpret results for senior management.
  • Maintain strong balance sheet controls including preparation of control account reconciliations and timely follow-up on variances.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
  • Accurately complete and submit relevant returns including VAT and any statistical returns.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal and external guidelines.
  • Participate in year-end reporting, assist with reporting packages, and liaise with external auditors. Assist in quarterly audits and stock checks.
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and procedures.
  • Support ad hoc project requests within the team, including streamlining and improving accounting systems where necessary.
  • Assist the CFO with ad hoc information or tasks and present financial information as part of decision-making.
  • Monitor and review KPIs of the Finance Department.
  • Record shareholding accurately and manage filings, providing data and communications to shareholders and stakeholders.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee fixed asset processes including reconciliation of related accounts.
  • Effectively manage a team of five.

  • Strong financial skills with attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work to fixed timescales and manage differing priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
  • Experience in external audits.
  • Advanced use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to set objectives and motivate a team, and to develop and coach others.

Qualifications

  • Qualified management accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Part-qualified considered if able to demonstrate experience in key responsibilities.

Logistics

Start date: The role is a full-time hybrid 37.5-hour week employed role with ASAP commencement. Flexible working available once settled.

Location: South Wales.

Rate: £45K to £60K per annum depending on experience, with potential for a performance-related bonus. 33 days holiday and contributory pension scheme.

Close date: No later than COB 18th April 2023 17:00 BST (UK).

Apt: APTs must be lodged within 48 hours. Client selection involves reviewing all APTs and choosing the best 3 for the client, followed by interviews.
