About us

The ADHD pathway of the Adult Autism and ADHD Service provides diagnostic assessments and medication management for adults with a Berkshire GP. We are a small but well-established team supporting clients across Berkshire through a routine clinic model. We do not offer an urgent service. Our base is at 25 Erleigh Road, Reading. We seek a Consultant Psychiatrist passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, capable of autonomously prescribing medication and providing leadership and supervision within our team.

We receive new referrals from GPs and other health professionals. Our service has separate pathways for diagnostic assessments and medication management, including initiation, titration, and review. Due to increased referral rates, we are looking for a candidate who can think critically and innovatively to enhance our service.

Our team is part of the Children, Families, and All-Age directorate, with young people transitioning from the Children and Young People's ADHD Service. We maintain close working relationships with colleagues in Adult Mental Health. Our clients may access other services as needed, such as CMHT or CHRTT, while receiving ADHD treatment from us.
