What to expect
The Contract Manager is a key member of the Commercial Management team, responsible for the delivery of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing contracts to ensure that they are executed effectively and efficiently. The role involves managing daily operations related to individual contracts and ensuring value for money through tracking financial risks and opportunities.
Responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation through to execution and renewal, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with suppliers and wider stakeholders. You will act as a point of escalation for any issues that arise as well as develop and implement contract strategies that align with our wider objectives and goals.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrable experience in Contract Management. In addition you will possess:
- Experience managing Contracts within HR, Property and Professional Services would be of benefit
- Substantial experience establishing cross functional stakeholder relationships
- Strong commercial business acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects to achieve key objectives
- A strong understanding of Contracts including change notices, extensions and limits of liability
- Publiic Sector Contract Management experience would be of benefit
