Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Field-Based (South East & South West)

Start Date: Immediate
Rate: £850–£1000/day (Outside IR35)
Commitment: 4–5 days/week preferred

We are currently recruiting two highly experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) with valid DNO authorisations to support a long-term framework across the South East and South West regions. This field-based role spans London and the Home Counties, offering a vital opportunity to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient LV/HV services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare and execute switching programmes, outages, and safety documentation in line with DNO Distribution Safety Rules.
• Conduct safety assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
• Ensure safe working conditions during LV/HV operations.
• Install, refurbish, and maintain HV equipment.
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings and technical records.
• Perform electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and modifications.
• Coordinate site activities with engineers, subcontractors, and utility partners.
• Support job costing, material specification, and logistics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current DNO SAP authorisations (11kV / 33kV) including Permit for Work and Sanction for Test.
• Extensive experience in HV distribution and familiarity with DNO Distribution Safety Rules.
• Recognised technical qualification (e.g., BTEC, City & Guilds, or equivalent electrical apprenticeship).
• Strong understanding of health & safety compliance.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across London and surrounding areas.
