Overview

Legal and Governance Recruitment Specialist role for a London Borough. Contract Lawyer on a six-month temporary basis. Locums needed as the authority brings contracts work in-house; recruitment is expected to run through into 2026. London-based position on a full-time contract of 36 hours per week. Heavily remote with office attendance approximately once per week. Rate negotiable dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Handling a mixed caseload of contracts matters
• Writing legal reports ahead of the Commissioning Board meeting noting potential legal ramifications
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policies
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party clients in respect of contractual obligations

Experience / Qualifications

• Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX, or similar legal qualification and authorised to conduct legal work
• Ideally 3-4 years PQE

Working hours and pay

• Full time (36 hours a week), Monday to Friday
• Rate £45.00 - £50.00 (negotiable dependant on experience)
