As we expand our store footprint, the focus is also on developing and optimising our corporate revenue stream. And the company is seeking a corporate lead to build on the contracts already in place, convert new accounts and maximise the catering business. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in leading revenue out-performance, who will make a huge difference and loves a challenge.
The purpose of this role is to secure additional sales, achieve targets and deliver exceptional customer service to our wholesale, corporate and event clients, both existing and new.
Responsibilities
Market Research: Conduct thorough analysis to identify potential opportunities for business expansion within the food and beverage industry. Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences and competitor activities including relevant ecommerce platforms for corporate orders
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve the Company’s objectives. Identify key target markets, clients and partnerships to pursue and convert
Client Acquisition: Build and maximise new business opportunities. Collaborate with the team in particular Ops and Marketing, to generate leads, pitch products and services, and close profitable deals with appropriate partners
Client Retention: Build and maintain existing relationships to grow and optimise the revenue stream. This is a targeted role, with success demonstrated through financial growth and the maintenance of robust profit margins
Wholesale Experience: Utilise previous experience and contacts in wholesale (branded / white label) to identify new relevant partners, negotiate contracts and establish mutually beneficial relationships. Develop pricing strategies and promotional programmes to drive revenue. Service is key so the expectation is that this role will own the accounts and communicate effectively with corporate customers
Events/Catering: Optimise the pipeline for corporate and personal events to ensure that execution is flawless and, where appropriate, regular orders are achieved; this will include new store openings in conjunction with marketing
Product Development: Work closely with the NPD team to identify market needs and opportunities for product innovation or enhancement to existing products whilst being mindful of the impact of bespoke requirements on the bakery operations
Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams including ecommerce, marketing and operations to execute seamlessly and in line with shared business development strategies and share updates
Reporting & Analysis: Track key performance metrics and provide regular reports on sales pipeline, revenue forecasts and market trends. Analyse date to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
Brand Advocacy: Understand the brand and the products so that these can be accurately represented in all meetings, internally and externally. Represent the company at events, trade shows and conferences to network with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals. Leverage these opportunities to promote the brand and explore new business avenues
Team Development: Support and develop team members to deliver customer experiences that live up to the brand’s promises and values
Qualifications
A proven track record of building a new business pipeline and optimising new and current corporate wholesale accounts and events
A restlessness around winning in the market and delivering top-tier performance and strong organisational skills to manage inbound enquires and outbound activations
An ‘act like it’s your business’ mentality, a sense of accountability and passion for delivering excellence end to end
The ability to work exceptionally across functions sometimes as the lead and sometimes as an input understanding that it’s a lean, nimble team focused on winning together

What we offer
A three-month rolling contract starting mid-November with the opportunity to go permanent, subject to performance and fit
Competitive terms including monthly sales bonus
The role is hybrid but it should be noted that the business is heavily skewed to London and face-to-face meetings with existing and new clients will be expected. There will be an expectation that two days a week minimum will be in Battersea HQ to connect with the team and business.
