What You9;ll Be Doing

Client Portfolio Management

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Focusing primarily on owner-managed businesses
  • Handling large transactions, including EIS and share schemes

Technical Excellence

  • Preparing and reviewing tax provisions for inclusion in statutory accounts
  • Undertaking complex compliance work and corporate tax computations
  • Managing the filing of corporation tax returns
  • Preparing and filing ATED and EMI returns
  • Dealing with HMRC correspondence and queries

Advisory & Collaboration

  • Providing advice on corporation tax matters to audit teams
  • Assisting Partners with corporate tax advisory matters
  • Contributing to tax planning strategies

Leadership & Development

  • Training and coaching junior staff members
  • Providing mentoring and technical guidance
  • Supporting team development initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven ability to handle complex compliance for owner-managed businesses
  • Prior experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • Strong background in corporate tax with leadership experience
  • Experience dealing with HMRC and regulatory matters

Qualifications & Skills

  • CTA qualification preferred (or working towards)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate tax
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy and technical accuracy
  • Natural ability to work in a team and motivate others

Beneficial

  • Experience using Alphatax (full training provided)
  • Background in both compliance and advisory work
  • Knowledge of EIS, share schemes, and complex transactions
