The Role
Responsibilities
As a Cost Engineer, you'll be responsible for the development, control, and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring robust cost management and financial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and forecasts
- Managing project budgets and tracking expenditure
- Producing regular cost reports for stakeholders and clients
- Supporting risk analysis and contingency planning
- Ensuring compliance with cost control procedures and standards
- Working closely with planning and commercial teams to support project delivery
To be considered for the role of Cost Engineer, you will need:
- Experience in a cost engineering role within a complex engineering or infrastructure project
- Proficiency with cost management tools and techniques (e.g., Prism, EcoSys, Excel)
- Excellent understanding of cost control principles and earned value management
- Background in the nuclear or highly regulated sector is highly advantageous
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Competitive salary of £60,000 per annum
