An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RICS-qualified valuation surveyor to join our Property Valuations team within the Corporate & Commercial Bank (CCB). This client-side role provides an opportunity to take a key part in the lending process and presents an opportunity to shape and deliver strategic priorities for the bank and deliver on our Property Valuation team's key OKRs.
The difference you'll make
- In undertaking quality assurance reviews, you will ensure compliance of valuation and project monitoring reports submitted by CBB's panel firms.
- Your attention to detail as well as property market awareness will enable you to understand the most salient property risk considerations, helping drive the future performance of CCB's real estate backed commercial lending.
- Working with our Relationship and Credit Risk teams, you will provide property risk advice on a wide range of property types across the UK when considering lending opportunities and presenting at credit committees.
- You will also be involved with our strategic objectives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the valuation reporting process for the benefit of our customers.
What you'll bring
- MRICS or FRICS qualified valuation surveyor with a good breadth of experience across a range of property sectors and geographic locations.
- You will be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
- You will also be an active team player, able to build collaborative engagement within the wider business to achieve business objectives, including simplification of processes to enhance customer experience and reduce end to end journeys.
It would also be nice for you to have
- Valuation or project monitoring experience with specialist property sectors such as trade-related assets or social housing.
- Direct experience in the technological advances being witnessed in the valuation industry, and wider property market, including the automating of valuation report writing, data ingestion and automated valuation models.
- Experience in presenting to senior colleagues forums and/or to a wider CCB audience.
- Experience in simplifying our manual processes and/or working on digital solutions within a Corporate Bank

- This role is based in Triton Square, London
- We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

How we'll reward you
As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs.
- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
- 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
