Overview

As the Experience Designer at GRIDSERVE, you will craft intuitive and visually compelling user experiences for GRIDSERVE's digital products. This role focuses on digital innovation while ensuring seamless integration between digital and physical touchpoints. You will be embedded in cross-functional tribes, collaborating with product managers and developers to bring our holistic customer experience vision to life.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
  • User Research: Work with our researcher to conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand customer behaviour and pain points.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centric designs.
  • Visual Design: Develop cohesive design systems, including typography, colour schemes, and icons, that align with GRIDSERVE's brand guidelines.
  • Iteration & Feedback: Use data-driven insights and feedback to iterate and improve designs continually.
  • Accessibility & Standards: Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for responsive design.

You’ll bring

  • Strong background in UX/UI design, preferably within a digital-first or product-centric environment.
  • A robust portfolio that showcases digital-first UX projects, demonstrating design thinking and measurable impact.
  • Experience & Expertise: Portfolio: Research Skills: Proven ability to conduct and synthesise user research, including remote usability tests, A/B testing, and data analysis.
  • Digital Analytics Familiarity: Experience working with digital analytics tools to extract user insights and inform design decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex digital concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications and Certifications

A degree or professional qualification in UX design, human-computer interaction, or a related digital field.

  • Tool Proficiency: Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Familiarity with motion design and interactive prototyping is a plus.
  • Experience with survey tools and journey mapping (e.g., Qualtrics, UXPressia).
