About the Role:
As a key member of the laboratory and customer support teams, you will perform core histology lab tasks while also serving as the main liaison for clinical partners. You’ll ensure high-quality sample processing and flawless workflow within the lab, while supporting client onboarding, training, and troubleshooting related to diagnostic services and digital platforms.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Execute laboratory operations adhering to SOPs and quality standards, ensuring timely and accurate sample handling
- Monitor and maintain internal and external quality controls, participate in audits, and support continuous improvement
- Serve as the first point of contact for new and existing clients—conducting training sessions, visits, and providing ongoing support
- Manage client queries efficiently via phone and email, troubleshoot logistics or system issues, and escalate when necessary
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Pathologists, IT, Quality, and Commercial colleagues
- Represent the lab during client meetings and promotional events, fostering strong partnerships and facilitating service uptake
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist, preferably with IBMS Specialist Portfolio or equivalent in Cellular Pathology
- Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience in histopathology or digital pathology workflows
- Strong understanding of histological processes, sample logistics, and digital LIMS platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in delivering training and client presentations
- Ability to balance laboratory duties with client-facing responsibilities, including occasional travel
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad skill set in a forward-thinking medical diagnostics company, working at the intersection of science and customer engagement. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring diagnostic excellence while building lasting relationships with clinical partners.
