Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Cyber Security Director to lead the development and execution of a robust cyber security strategy, safeguarding both their organisation and a portfolio of high-value clients. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines operational oversight, technical expertise, client relationship management, and commercial responsibility. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable managing a high-performing cyber team, engaging directly in incident remediation, and presenting to senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cyber security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach where required.
• Lead, mentor, and coach team members to strengthen capabilities and performance.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service enhancement or growth.
• Support the sales cycle through client pitches, proposals, and onboarding activities.
• Represent the organisation at client sites, industry events, and during relationship-building engagements.
• Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Ensure operational alignment with key regulatory, compliance, and security frameworks.
