About The Role

The Data Analyst (Power BI, Azure) role is a pivotal position within Lorien\'s client organization, located near Edinburgh. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic team that develops award-winning products impacting millions worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering data from multiple sources, translating complex information into actionable insights, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role involves modernizing reporting systems, automating data workflows, and providing training to internal users on Power BI and related tools. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence, with proficiency in Power BI and Azure cloud services. Essential qualifications include experience with programming languages such as Python and R, advanced Excel skills (including VBA), and familiarity with SQL databases. Knowledge of Azure components like Data Factory, Data Lakes, and Key Vault is highly desirable. Experience with Power Apps, CRMs (preferably D365), and an eagerness to learn about Machine Learning and NLP are advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a solid analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Responsibilities

  • Modernize existing reporting processes by implementing automation solutions to minimize manual effort and improve data accuracy.
  • Monitor data quality, conduct audits, and implement best practices for data governance and integrity.
  • Provide Power BI training sessions to internal teams, ensuring users can effectively utilize dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and develop tailored data solutions.
  • Support the integration of reports with data infrastructure, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Work closely with the IT team to align reporting tools with organizational data architecture and security standards.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in data analytics, Power BI, and cloud technologies to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
