Overview
Data is central to how MUBI grows, innovates, and creates great experiences for our members. We are growing our data analytics team to expand our ability to deliver high-quality insights across the business. The analytics and reporting we provide are used to determine which films to show on our platform, where to allocate marketing spend, and to identify potential improvements to the platform.
As a Data Analyst, you will focus on delivering high-quality reporting and insights, building relationships with internal stakeholders, and leveraging those insights to enable data-driven decision making across the whole company. By combining your technical ability with domain knowledge and the ability to transform data into actionable insights, you can help drive new ways of understanding our platform and audience and unlock meaningful growth. You will work closely with, and learn from, an experienced team of data engineers and scientists. This is a great opportunity for someone with an established background in data analytics to grow in a supportive, data-driven environment where your work will have a meaningful impact on the business.
This role is based in London and requires 2-3 days at our MUBI offices in the heart of Soho.
Where you’ll have impact
- Create and maintain a wide range of BI reporting
- Perform data analytics to unlock actionable insights
- Work on a large variety of projects, such as analyzing A/B test results, measuring the performance of individual films, or understanding how audiences engage with parts of the website
- Help build our internal data model, mapping out new tables or pipelines
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business
- Work within a technically-minded team of data analysts, scientists and engineers
- Opportunity to learn more technical data skills, including predictive modeling, AI, clustering & segmentation, statistical analysis and data engineering
What you’ll bring
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a data analytics or similar role
- Strong SQL skills
- Proficiency in Python (beneficial)
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL systems and modern equivalents like DBT
- Experience with business intelligence software (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience and interest in ML/AI (beneficial)
- Proven ability to communicate with internal stakeholders to drive meaningful action from data
- Ability to independently structure and formulate solutions to business problems and explain complex ideas in simple terms
- Adaptability and ability to quickly develop domain expertise
- A passion for cinema is a bonus, but not essential
We want to make cinema accessible to everyone. We believe people from different backgrounds bring different ideas that foster innovation and engagement, helping us attract great people to develop the best experience for our users.
