As a Lecturer in the Degree Apprenticeship team at QAA, you will work with learners studying alongside full-time work to develop their professional skills. Our teaching approach is blended learning, supporting learners through online content, remote interactive sessions (e.g., WebEx or discussion forums), and live-online or face-to-face workshops.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage multiple modules on the Degree Apprenticeship programmes, ensuring high-quality learning. This includes online support and delivering face-to-face or live-online workshops.
• Develop course materials, including videos, exercises, slides, and assessments.
• Contribute to team activities related to assessment and teaching.
• Participate actively in programme improvement initiatives.

Skills & Abilities

Subject Areas (suggested in Software and Data but not limited to):

Software Skills:

Coding and programming (Python essential), full-stack/web development, automation, Flask, Django, DevOps.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

Desirable: PhD, teaching qualification.

• Deep knowledge of multiple topics within the subject areas.
• Knowledge of apprenticeships, work-based learning, or higher education.
• Understanding of equality and diversity issues.
