Job Description
We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Data Governance Risk Manager to join our Group Information Security function. This is a key role where you'll lead the implementation and oversight of our Data Management Policy, Framework and Controls, and support GDPR compliance across the organisation. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure data risks are identified, assessed, and effectively managed.

- Leading the rollout of the Data Management Framework and engaging stakeholders across the business
- Overseeing compliance with data governance controls and advising on risk remediation
- Supporting the identification and quantification of data protection risks, including DPIA management
- Maintaining departmental risk registers and working with owners on mitigation plans
- Producing and analysing risk management information, including key risk indicators
- Facilitating risk forums and supporting the development of pragmatic mitigation strategies
- Embedding Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty principles into daily operations
- Educating teams on the importance and benefits of data governance
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and control frameworks
- Holding professional qualifications in Data Governance or GDPR (or equivalent experience)
- Communicating effectively and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Leading projects and managing deliverables in complex data and technology environments
- Applying sound judgement and analytical skills to assess and manage risk
- Organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines and deliver outcomes
- Collaborating with Agile teams and adapting to change with flexibility
- Chairing operational and risk meetings and translating stakeholder needs into solutions
