Data Protection Consultant

Location: Remote (UK-based candidates)

Salary: Up to £55,000 (+ benefits)

We are partnering with a specialist data consultancy seeking a skilled Data Protection Consultant to support their growing client base. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong grasp of data protection frameworks and a consultancy mindset.

Opportunity

You will join a dynamic and growing data consultancy, supporting a diverse range of clients across sectors. The role involves delivering expert guidance on data protection compliance, managing projects, and helping organisations achieve and maintain GDPR, DPA 2018, and PECR compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting data protection gap analyses and compliance assessments.
• Advising clients on how to meet GDPR, DPA 2018, and PECR obligations.
• Leading and managing compliance remediation projects from inception to delivery.
• Responding to client queries and providing pragmatic, risk‑based advice.
• Supporting clients with ongoing compliance, governance, and policy development.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR, and information risk management.
• Familiarity with information security best practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Desirable qualifications: BCS/ISEB, PDP, IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or GDPR Practitioner Certificate.
