Responsibilities
Drive collaboration with cross‑functional teams to identify business problems and translate them into data‑driven solutions and deliverables. Provide technical guidance to other data scientists within the team. Develop algorithms and statistical & machine learning models to analyse and interpret complex data sets. Communicate insights and results to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Interact with clients or stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights or solutions. Be accountable for data quality and accuracy in all deliverables. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of data science.
General Requirements
Proven experience as a data scientist using Python and a range of libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit‑Learn, Matplotlib, Plotly, etc.). Strong expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data mining techniques, particularly using time‑series data. Data engineering (pipelines, databases, infrastructure), ideally with AWS experience would be an advantage. Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and data cleansing. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. An engineering or motorsport background is desirable but not strictly required. Experience in applying data science with the context of engineering, manufacturing or industrial operations desirable. Reinforcement learning (i.e., data‑driven modelling + control optimisation) desirable. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field desirable.
