With over a decade of industry leadership, they’re now investing heavily in their monitoring and alerting capabilities and they need a talented Data Scientist to take ownership of this critical function, designing scalable systems that safeguard the reliability and integrity of their data.

Role: Data Scientist

In this hands-on role, you’ll design, build, and deploy monitoring and alerting systems that ensure the accuracy and reliability of core datasets. You’ll work across multiple teams to define key metrics and thresholds, productionise ML/statistical models, and create frameworks that scale across products and business units. You’ll take projects from concept to delivery - scoping requirements, preparing and analysing large datasets, deploying solutions into AWS-based environments, and embedding best practices in data quality and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability across core datasets.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to define metrics, thresholds, and data quality metrics.
  • Productionise ML/statistical models and create scalable frameworks across products and business units.
  • Deploy solutions into AWS-based environments and embed data quality and monitoring best practices.

Key skills / experience

  • Proficient in Python & SQL for analysis, modelling, and interrogation
  • Experience with large datasets and distributed data processing (PySpark)
  • Skilled in deploying ML/statistical models into production
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous experience in monitoring/data quality frameworks highly desirable
