Decarbonisation Manager

Liverpool / Birmingham / London (Hybrid Working)

Role summary

Can you embed decarbonisation into operational excellence and hold senior leaders accountable for delivering environmental impact? Are you interested in working with a market leading facilities management company and driving sustainability forward throughout the organisation? If the answer is yes, you may be interested in the Decarbonisation Manager role currently being recruited for. The role joins an established team within a global facilities management company that places sustainability at the core of its operations and supports development for major clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of decarbonisation strategies across service lines, ensuring alignment with Net Zero targets and organisational goals.
• Define and track performance metrics and KPIs to monitor sustainability progress, providing strategic direction and challenge where necessary.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to agree on action plans, ensuring accountability for delivery and effective risk mitigation across business functions.
• Oversee the identification, testing, and implementation of cost-effective carbon reduction solutions, supported by robust data management and reporting systems.

The successful candidate will have

• Proven operational Sustainability experience within a similar role; ideally within facilities management, property or related field
• Comfortable working across complex organisations, engaging with diverse stakeholder groups and building strong relationships at all levels
• Confident using data and insights to support the development and delivery of impactful sustainability solutions
• Flexible and responsive to change, with the ability to adapt plans in line with evolving regulations, standards, and business needs
