OverviewA deputy Head of Financial Accounting role at The Royal College of Surgeons in England. This is a newly created hire with a long-term succession plan, reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting with a dotted line into the Executive Director of Finance. The role offers a broad remit across governance, risk, and finance and will shape the future of the college's finance function.Key responsibilitiesSupporting the HoFA in delivering high-quality financial accounting and statutory reportingDeveloping and maintaining financial policies and internal controls in line with UK GAAPManaging a team of two and contributing to wider College objectivesYou will have the opportunity to develop, manage and mould an already high performing team.Person specification / QualificationsFrom a Charity/Membership/Not for Profit backgroundCCAB fully qualified with a strong understanding VAT/Partial VATAmbitious, driven, with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skillsSalary£65,000 - £70,000 per annumWorking arrangementsHybrid working.
