Winners Recruitment is supporting a leading financial services practice based in Truro in their search for a Deputy Operations Manager on a permanent, hybrid basis. This role is ideal for someone with operations or team leadership experience—preferably within a regulated or professional environment—seeking a flexible, people-focused position within a high-performing business.
You will enjoy a 4-day workweek, split between home and office, supporting the strategic direction and daily operations of the firm.
The Role
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll ensure efficient business operations aligned with best practices. Responsibilities include operational oversight, especially in the absence of the Operations Manager, covering team performance, process improvement, marketing, compliance, and client service delivery.
This varied, hands-on role is suitable for a proactive individual with a strong background in operations, project coordination, or office management, particularly within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support key business functions: administration, marketing, business development, and paraplanning
- Manage team workflows and performance
- Train and support new admin staff
- Monitor business trends and client data for opportunities
- Ensure GDPR compliance and data accuracy
- Assist with internal communications and client interactions
- Support licensing, CPD, and regulatory standards compliance
Process & Project Management
- Help implement new systems and software
- Oversee application submissions and document preparation
- Manage end-to-end processes for client onboarding and service
- Drive internal projects to improve operations
Marketing & Client Engagement
- Contribute to annual marketing plans and digital strategies
- Manage online presence (website, LinkedIn, directories)
- Coordinate events and evaluate campaign success
Requirements
Experience & Background
- Experience in operations, office management, or team leadership
- Experience in a regulated industry (finance, legal, insurance) preferred
- Familiarity with CRM or client management systems
- Marketing or project management experience advantageous
Skills & Attributes
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Confident communicator and problem-solver
- Strong IT skills (MS Office)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
