Operating predominantly within the public sector, we focus our efforts on improving the working lives of organisations doing social good across the UK.
Who are we hiring?
We are currently looking for experienced DevOps Engineers. You will work as a member of an engineering team to facilitate the deployment and management of software services, and with operations staff to optimise the availability of the systems underpinning those services.
As a DevOps Engineer at Gemba your primary responsibilities will be, but not limited to, the following:

Tools and technologies you will work with:
At Gemba our tech stacks can vary project to project, and so we are open to candidates for a variety of backgrounds. Here are some of the tools and technologies we work with across our projects:
- Cloud: AWS and OpenShift.
- IAC: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Containerisation: Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Operating Systems: Linux and Windows
- CI/CD: GitLab and Jenkins
- Scripting: Python and Bash
Why join Gemba?
Gemba is built upon four core values that we believe make Gemba a great place to work!
- Our people are our most important asset and we prioritise their needs accordingly
- We succeed and fail as a team not as individuals.
- We do the right thing and we do the thing right.
- We maintain an overwhelming focus on the customers’ needs.
Away from our values, Gemba offers an excellent and comprehensive package to our Gembans, including great salaries, meaningful perks, a culture of truly rewarding and celebrating success, amongst many other core benefits like flexible pensions and PMI.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we recognise, and studies confirm, that often underrepresented candidates in the workplace are less likely to apply to roles unless they meet all skills and experience of the position.
At Gemba we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, therefore we make sure that our recruitment and selection processes never discriminate based upon age, race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, or pregnancy, and actively welcome applications from all groups.
