Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic, industrious and flexible individual to join a progressive and forward thinking team that shares a great passion and vision in improving care for patient with diabetes across North West London; and that is in the process of developing even further. The successful applicant will be linked with the North West London Multidisciplinary Diabetes Foot Team which was established as part of the NW London Transformation programme for the Diabetic Foot.
The MDFT is part of the NW London Diabetes Foot Network which brings together multidisciplinary foot teams across NW London to share learning and promote best practice in the management of the diabetic foot. You will be part of a team that provides inpatient and outpatient podiatry care, training and education across our acute sites. The role will include excellent opportunities to work autonomously as well as across teams and disciplines to provide a high impact input into the outcomes of Diabetic Foot Programme in this sector; as well as contributing to building new service pathways post COVID -19.
The post-holder will work peripatetically across Northwick Park Hospital, Ealing Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital. Current Band 6 Podiatrists may be considered for a Developmental Band 7 role within this team if shortlisted and successful at interview.

Person specification
Education and Qualifications
- Podiatry Degree
- Registered with the HCPC
- Experience of working at a Band 6 level or above and evidence of working with a High-risk caseload, specifically diabetes in an acute setting.
- • Training in requesting and interpretation of investigations relevant to diabetic foot complications
Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth knowledge in the management of the diabetic foot and general medical diabetes management.
- Previous Experience working in an acute site
- • Car driver/ Access to the use of a vehicle
