Job Description
This Manchester-based award-winning e-commerce agency is seeking an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join their team and play a key role in driving the agency's continued growth within their integrated client services team.
Clients cover B2B, D2C, and B2C sectors, across marketing services such as SEO, Paid, Content, etc., as well as Development services including web builds, site maintenance, and project work.
This role is purely client services; you will not be directly executing the work but will work alongside teams implementing the projects.
Clients vary widely, including beauty, e-commerce, fashion, FMCG, construction, and healthcare.
Key requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of account management experience within a digital marketing/eCommerce agency
- Proven track record of strategic thinking and managing multiple clients simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to upsell and retain existing clients
- Experience handling contracts and negotiations
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Strong multitasking and re-prioritization skills
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Managing your own client portfolio within the agency
- Maintaining proactive client relationships through regular meetings and activities
- Understanding the commercial aspects of agency life, including profitability and scope management
- Collaborating with marketing and web development teams to define strategies and campaigns
- Working with team leads to ensure quality of service and client satisfaction
- Overseeing client development plans, contract renewals, and strategic reviews
- Logging client interactions and activities in CRM systems
- Handling disputes and escalation procedures promptly
- Monthly invoice reconciliation with Accounts
- Reporting to the AD of Client Services on client status
- Managing administrative tasks including meetings, proposals, contracts, and client assets
- Identifying and presenting new business opportunities to grow agency revenue
