As the Digital Management Programme Lead in the Digital Management function, you will be responsible for developing and managing multiple initiatives to achieve our strategic goals. This area is in its early stages, offering a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the initial ideation and planning before leading their delivery.
What you'll be doing as a Digital Management Programme Lead
- Strategy Development: While in its infancy, the strategy requires thought leadership to further develop the delivery activity with alignment to the strategic goals of Digital and the company.
- Management: Collaborate and influence a wide range of stakeholders up to and including Director level.
- Planning and Delivery: Ensure successful outcomes of initiatives by defining plans and KPIs, managing resources and skills, matrix managing initiative owners, and adhering to budget constraints.
- Financial Governance: Work closely with supplier and finance teams to optimise project resources and costs.
- Domain Advantage: Experience in utilities or water-related projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Communication: Maintain clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders regarding progress and business needs.
- Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and recommend improvements.
Base location: Hybrid - Clear Water Court, Reading
What you should bring to the role
- Extensive delivery experience.
- Experience in strategy development, planning, and delivery, preferably within digital management or a related field.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Additional skills and experiences that are beneficial:
- Knowledge of technology trends.
- Water industry experience.
- Technical skills aligned with project areas such as Finance, Audit, and Risk.
