About the Role

The Woodland Trust is seeking a dedicated Digital Marketing Executive (Email) to support and enhance its email marketing activities. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing email campaigns that effectively communicate the Trust’s mission and initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to deliver engaging and impactful email content, ensuring each campaign aligns with best practices for accessibility, compliance, and audience engagement. You will be responsible for analyzing campaign performance metrics, recommending improvements, and testing various strategies to maximize engagement and conversion rates. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Email Service Providers (ESPs) and staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in email marketing will be key aspects of this role. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental causes while developing your skills in digital marketing within a dynamic and supportive organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing email marketing systems and schedules, with a solid understanding of email service providers.
  • Proficiency in HTML for creating and customizing email templates.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing successful email campaigns, with the ability to analyze campaign data and implement improvements.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and best practice guidelines for data protection and privacy.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com is advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in environmental issues and a shared commitment to the Trust’s core values—Grow Together, Explore, Focus, and Make it Count—are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of compelling and effective email marketing campaigns that promote the Trust’s initiatives and campaigns.
  • Advise on best practices regarding HTML coding, email accessibility, and compliance to ensure all campaigns meet legal and ethical standards.
  • Monitor and report on email campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing, audience segmentation, and user journey analysis to optimize campaign effectiveness and engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ESP providers, ensuring smooth integration and technical support.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, new technologies, and innovations in email marketing to enhance campaign success.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Use project management tools such as Monday.com to track campaign progress and deadlines.
  • Ensure all email content and templates are on-brand, visually appealing, and accessible across devices and platforms.
