Business Unit Overview:
The Global Product Solutions (GPS) team is responsible for product strategy, development, and range management activities for EMEA investment products. Formed in 2024 by combining several businesses, GPS drives the business strategy, innovation, and commercialization of our full investment platform, unlocking new growth opportunities across Active, iShares, and Private Markets. Our team manages BlackRock's large and diverse range of funds, one of the most dynamic and diverse in the industry, with 1500+ funds domiciled out of 9 countries.
Job Purpose/ Background:
BlackRock's Global Product Solutions EMEA is looking for a Product Execution Lead to drive the product curation and commercialisation agenda across the region, manage the cross-organisational efforts to position and prioritise our active, iShares and private market platforms and lead the product execution team to deliver client friendly narratives and data driven analyses.
The Product Execution Team sits within the GPS organization and is responsible for empowering our regional client businesses by driving product narratives and campaigns, amplifying product priorities, and identifying data driven insights across the EMEA region. The team works closely with sales leadership, our client segment leads and product segment groups across the organization to design and execute these plans.
Other key responsibilities include supporting our manager research sales function as they work to grow adoption rates of our focus products, co-develop new solutions with clients and scale and replicate ideas across multiple countries.
There will be a requirement to work in strong partnership with the broader GPS organization, product development asset class leads, investment teams, sales management, marketing, and other partner groups across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish distribution focus of our product range and partner with sales leadership to deliver on regional budget targets.
- Design product campaigns and product distribution initiatives within EMEA client businesses across the BlackRock alpha, iShares and private market platforms.
- Develop in-country campaign strategies with local sales leaders and relationship managers as well as direct client interaction to better position BLK's broad capabilities and promote focus products across the range.
- Drive alignment between partner groups including, product strategy, marketing, relationship managers, sales enablement and sales management functions.
- Tracking and reporting on campaign plans, marketing calendars, sales activities and success metrics with an emphasis on campaign pre-planning, live tracking and post campaign summaries.
- Aid in the roll-out of product training plans and continuing education efforts.
- Lead on data and analytics projects that help identify client buying behaviours. Define, track and report key metrics and data across multiple dimensions to inform senior leadership of new opportunities.
- Collaborate with EMEA product development asset class leads to evaluate industry trends, competitive dynamics and highlight commercial opportunities using industry level data.
- Assist in driving the framework for product innovation, CIO alignment and co-development opportunities with clients across the region.
Experience/Qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- +10 years financial services experience, preferably with a focus on mutual fund strategy, sales, index and/or private markets
- Deep understanding of the asset management industry with a preference for a product or client specialist background
- Strong capital market knowledge
- Preference for multi-lingual candidate (German, French or Italian as second language)
- Robust quantitative skills along with demonstrated analytical ability. Working knowledge of investment databases, including Morningstar and Bloomberg would be a plus
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, comfortable developing relationships across all levels internally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
