Roc Technologies is seeking an experienced, motivated, and commercially minded individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as Director of Cabling. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing one of Roc’s largest and fastest-growing divisions. Our Cabling division delivers mission-critical infrastructure to a diverse customer base spanning Defence, Aviation, and Higher Education. This role is ideally suited for a technically credible leader with deep experience in LAN and fibre technologies, a strong commercial mindset, and a proven ability to manage high-performing teams and large-scale programmes. Key Responsibilities: Full P&L ownership for the Cabling Division, ensuring financial performance and growth targets are achieved. Provide technical and strategic input into major infrastructure bids, often in secure and complex environments. Partner with Sales to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities across existing accounts and new markets. Lead a technically strong management team, providing direction on standards, safety, and project execution. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of structured cabling solutions (Cat5e, Cat6/Cat6a, multi-mode/single-mode fibre), ensuring both technical excellence and commercial efficiency. Maintain compliance with installation standards (e.g. BICSI, FOA, TIA/EIA) and ensure robust internal processes for quality and documentation. Build and maintain process frameworks for design, delivery, quality control, and documentation Stay ahead of technological trends in network infrastructure, including passive and active components. Required Experience and Skills: Demonstrable experience in technical network cabling, within a senior management or leadership role. Strong background in LAN technologies including Cat5,Cat6 and fibre terminations. Track record in managing large-scale projects with multi-disciplinary teams across secure environments. Comfortable with high-level stakeholder engagement, from technical delivery teams to C-suite clients. Experience of managing or contributing to commercial strategy, including cost modelling and bid writing. Industry certifications such as BICSI, FOA, CompTIA, or CNCI/CNIT/CNCD Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC or DV). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams Desirable Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Familiarity with working in or delivering to SC / DV-cleared environments. Experience in developing or delivering within a Managed Service framework.
