Technical Lead Engineer / Director

Location: London

Perm Role | Hybrid Working Structure

Harrington Starr has partnered with a global Investment Bank, seeking to hire a Director level Engineer with extensive .NET development experience within investment banking. This person must be confident translating complex business needs into functional solutions and be able to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of software solutions across trading technology systems, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Build and maintain the regional technology roadmap, consolidating systems into a consistent, scalable stack.
  • Manage a team of developers, fostering high performance, mentoring, and technical guidance.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive agile software development, system integration, and adoption of modern technologies, including cloud solutions.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Advanced full-stack development skills (.NET, .NET Core, C#, Python, SQL) and cloud technology experience.
  • Strong leadership experience managing high-performing development teams.
  • Knowledge of banking products, financial analysis, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience delivering Agile projects, CI/CD, and DevSecOps solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with global stakeholder engagement.
