Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Central London (Hybrid)

A high-growth technology scale‑up is seeking to appoint a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its senior leadership team. The company has achieved exceptional growth in recent years and is now entering its next phase of expansion, with a view toward a potential IPO. Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created role is designed to strengthen the strategic and operational impact of the FP&A function. You will take full ownership of forecasting, planning, performance reporting, and cash forecasting, acting as a trusted partner to the CFO and wider executive team.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of operating at pace in a complex, data‑rich environment. You will be both a hands‑on individual contributor and people leader, capable of delivering best‑in‑class analysis while mentoring and developing a small, high‑performing team. The focus will be on building a scalable FP&A framework, improving forecasting accuracy, and driving data‑led decision making across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning group‑wide forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning.
  • Implementing robust cash forecasting and liquidity planning processes.
  • Partnering with cross‑functional teams to enhance financial insight and control.
  • Leading the implementation of a new FP&A tool and ensuring integration with ERP and data infrastructure.
  • Preparing the business for the rigour of a listed environment with investor‑grade reporting and controls.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior FP&A leadership role within a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment — ideally in technology or digital sectors. Experience within a listed or IPO‑ready business is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic operator with strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and the gravitas to operate alongside senior executives.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s most exciting technology scale‑ups at a pivotal point in its journey. The position offers a highly competitive base salary, bonus, and meaningful equity participation. If you are an accomplished FP&A leader looking to make a tangible impact in a dynamic, high‑growth business, we would be delighted to hear from you.
