Director, Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk

Role

We are recruiting for a new Director, Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk to join our risk management journey at LSEG. The role is responsible for second line oversight across Operational Resilience and Third Party risks, helping embed these frameworks across the Group and delivering continuous improvements.

Aligned with the firm's core values, this role facilitates building collaborative partnerships across the organization and aims to break down silos and barriers to communication. The team plays a key role in reinforcing the risk culture that underpins how LSEG manages risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and support the development of Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Embed risk management practices within the Group.
  • Collaborate with divisional Chief Risk Officers, Business Control Officers, and the Risk Operations team.
  • Support specific projects with risk management expertise as needed.
  • Develop a roadmap to embed and improve second line oversight of operational resilience and third-party risk management.
  • Own related policies.
  • Review and challenge the organization’s operational resilience and third-party risk posture, KRIs, risk events, and issues.
  • Drive the embedding of the Risk Management Framework as part of the wider Risk Culture initiatives.

Key Skills

Experience in risk framework/management roles is essential, with familiarity across multiple risk types considered advantageous. Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to influence, provide balanced feedback, and produce clear, compelling reports for senior management.
