What you’ll do

As our Domestic & Family Violence Linker, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading initiatives aimed at addressing and preventing Domestic Family Violence within the community.

You'll provide training, support, and coordination services to healthcare professionals, general practices, and relevant service providers and empower healthcare professionals to create safe spaces for disclosures and ensure that survivors receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with general practices to deliver Recognise, Respond and Refer training, enabling safe disclosures and meaningful referrals for those affected by DFV
  • Provide expert guidance and clinical support to healthcare professionals to facilitate timely referrals and coordinated care for individuals experiencing DFV
  • Collaborate with DFV sector, general practices, and community service providers to strengthen integrated support systems
  • Contribute to promoting the service within the community - confidence in engaging with people is key and we’ll support you to build these skills
  • Manage program data, reporting, and evaluation processes to monitor effectiveness and inform continuous improvement

The details

  • Part-time, working 4 days a week - hybrid model including remote, office and home working to support both autonomy and collaboration
  • Maximum term contract until 30.6.2026 with potential for extension
  • $48 - $54 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 12% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings athttps://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)
  • Based in Penrith with travel in the Hawkesbury and Nepean region required
  • Valid NSW Class C driver's licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle is required

What you’ll bring

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in supporting individuals affected by DFV
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, community development, health promotion or similar field, supported by relevant experience
  • Skills and experience in health promotion and capacity building activities including providing incidental or informal training in how to use a DVSAT, patient safety planning etc.
  • Knowledge of the local service system, and ability to facilitate effective referrals
  • Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
