DXC Technology is seeking a dynamic and technically adept Solution Engineer to support our strategic partnership with Dynatrace, a leader in observability and application performance monitoring. This role is pivotal in driving technical sales engagements, crafting tailored observability solutions, and aligning Dynatrace’s capabilities with DXC’s service offerings.

The role
DXC Technology is seeking a dynamic and technically adept Solution Engineer to support our strategic partnership with Dynatrace, a leader in observability and application performance monitoring. This role is pivotal in driving technical sales engagements, crafting tailored observability solutions, and aligning Dynatrace’s capabilities with DXC’s service offerings.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will work closely with DXC’s sales teams, customers, and partners to demonstrate the value of the Dynatrace platform. You will lead solution design discussions, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and help customers solve complex business and IT challenges through intelligent observability.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with account executives to understand customer needs, business objectives and technical requirements; Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders; Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through evaluation, deployment strategies, and ongoing optimization of Dynatrace solutions.
  • Solution Design & Presentation: Design tailored solutions leveraging the Dynatrace platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance; design and propose observability architectures across cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments; develop complex proposals and cost models; deliver product demonstrations and PoCs; create solution documentation and architecture diagrams; lead solution presentations to customers; collaborate with DXC sales and delivery teams; integrate Dynatrace into opportunities such as managed services.
  • Technical Leadership: Stay up to date with Dynatrace capabilities and industry trends; provide feedback to delivery teams on customer needs and product gaps; act as a technical mentor and share knowledge; liaise with Dynatrace to maintain alignment.
  • Collaboration & Enablement: Work cross-functionally with engineering, customer success, and marketing; lead RFP/RFI responses and contribute to technical content; represent DXC and Dynatrace at industry events and deliver keynote presentations and demos.

Key Performance Metrics

  • Win Rate Contribution: Percentage of deals influenced that result in closed-won outcomes
  • PoC Success Rate: Ratio of successful proof-of-concepts leading to customer adoption
  • Sales Cycle Acceleration: Reduction in time-to-close for deals with technical support
  • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Feedback scores on technical engagement quality

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Prior experience with or for a Global Systems Integrator (GSI)
  • Proven experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting roles
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, and microservices
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools, APM, log analytics, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Certifications in Dynatrace, AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, FluentBit, Cribl, or similar data pipeline tools
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and align with customer KPIs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Dynatrace and similar platforms (New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics)
  • Cloud or DevOps certifications
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
