Job summary: We are looking to recruit a Eastern Physiological Sciences Network Clinical Lead for Audiology.In 2024, the Eastern Physiological Science Network (ESPN) was launched, covering all eight disciplines within the Physiological Sciences. The incorporation of the disciplines will take a phased approach with Phase 1 (Audiology, Respiratory, Cardiac and Neurophysiology) launched in the Summer of 2024 with Phase 2 (Vascular Science, Urodynamics, Vision Science and Gastrointestinal Physiology) to follow in the Summer of 2025.The network has Clinical leads from within the network to cover the following physiological science disciplines:AudiologyNeurophysiologyCardiac PhysiologyRespiratory Physiology (incl. Sleep Studies)Main duties of the job: As an EPSN Clinical Lead, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the East of England (EoE) region and the network in delivering the strategic vision ensuring activities are aligned to and support commissioners/Trusts in achieving outcome ambitions for patients and benefits to population health.To provide professional advice and clinical leadership in respect to the services within EPSN in Audiology.Embed the Audiology working group within the Eastern Physiological Science Network and work towards financial sustainability alongside operational leads.To identify key interventions to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of Physiological Sciences related patient care.To engage clinical colleagues from Audiology and beyond to build clinical support for the improvements and transformational changes needed to achieve improved outcomes, quality, and sustainable care provision.To articulate and promote the vision for a transformed model of care with clinical colleagues and champion the sharing of innovation and standardisation of care across the system.To lead the development of agreed clinical deliverables such as system-wide clinical standards, and model of care to inform new commissioner service specifications.About us: We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.
