Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will also support innovation and continuous improvement across the business.Here at Last Mile, we pride ourselves in providing a great range of benefits including a fantastic amount of annual leave, including a Christmas shut down.* 25 days holiday, increasing after 2 years by 1 day each year up to 30 days, plus 9 public holidays* Holiday buy scheme* Discretionary bonus* EV and ULEV salary sacrifice scheme (subject to minimum length of service)* Cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme* Up to 7% employer pension contribution* Life assurance (x4 annual basic salary)* Refer a friend incentive* Stream – Financial wellbeing platform* Employee assistance programme* Car allowance* Remote working with occasional travel to offices* Flexible start and finish times for eligible roles\** Private medical insurance\** Company sick pay\**\*Some of our benefits are only applicable when you have successfully completed your probation period\****Your responsibilities as a Electricity Standards Engineer:*** **Electrical Safety Management** - Oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of the Electrical Safety Management System, ensuring compliance across all electrical activities.* **Standards & Procedures Development** - Develop, implement, and continuously improve company policies, procedures, and engineering standards, including DNO/INA/BS specifications.* **Competency & Authorisation Oversight** - Lead the assessment and authorisation process for Competent, Authorised, and Senior Authorised Persons working on the electricity distribution network.* **Stakeholder & Industry Engagement** - Liaise with ICPs to manage authorisations, support asset adoption, and represent the company on industry panels and forums.* **Compliance & Accreditation Support** - Support the Engineering Team to ensure operational processes meet health and safety standards and national accreditations, while maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge.**Experience / Knowledge:*** Strong working knowledge of national Distribution Safety Rules (DSRs) and experience in electricity network design, construction, commissioning, and operations, LV networks including 33/11kV networks.* Proven ability to develop engineering standards, procedures, and specifications within an asset management environment.* Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical electrical engineering concepts across teams and stakeholders.**Qualifications*** Degree or equivalent in Engineering. **Apply now!*****We aim to keep candidates informed throughout the process and encourage you to apply promptly as we may close the vacancy early if sufficient applications are received.*** Last Mile is one of the largest last-mile multi-utility businesses in the UK.
