The Role
As Sales Enablement Business Partner for the SUSE geography, you will orchestrate and deliver enablement activities addressing the competency development and solution knowledge requirements of sales teams. This senior role is part of the Global Sales Enablement function and reports to the Director Global Field & Ecosystem Enablement, with dotted line to the Geography General Manager. You will coach leaders and sales teams to improve productivity, knowledge, and performance, and you will assess sales competencies to tailor enablement programs.
Your responsibilities include promoting global enablement offerings, tailoring programs to geography needs, and collaborating with the field, partners, and cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of enablement across SUSE geographies. You will also support field sales and some partner ecosystem enablement.
Responsibilities (Focus Areas)
- Sales Enablement and Competency Development: identify development needs, design targeted programs, develop enablement content, deliver training, monitor impact, promote certification programs, and collaborate on onboarding.
- Sales Process Optimization: assess and optimize sales processes, advise on tools and content, and coach teams in using enablement platforms.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: monitor sales performance data and report on enablement impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: align with marketing, product management, HR and other departments; onboard new sales hires within the geography.
- Sales Enablement Strategy: develop and continuously refine geography-specific enablement strategies aligned with SUSE goals.
You will act as a consultant to sales leadership, guiding teams on coaching and leveraging internal knowledge. Credibility with teams is enhanced by a track record in account management or solution architecture; prior experience as a sales or pre-sales manager is desirable. A strong understanding of sales methodologies (Challenger, Solution Selling, SPIN, MEDDPICC) and capabilities in account planning, partner planning, and opportunity management are important. You will manage communications for enablement offerings and ensure availability is exploited to improve productivity.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in Sales Enablement, Sales Operations or Sales Productivity.
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant practical experience.
- Strong project and program management capabilities and ability to build trust with senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with virtual tools; experience with cross-functional and international stakeholders.
- Experience implementing sales transformation and methodologies is highly desired.
