Employment Legal Counsel – Sellick Partnership

We are pleased to work with a highly regarded higher education institution to recruit a motivated Employment Legal Counsel to join their team on a hybrid basis with an office located in the South East of England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice on both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims from inception to final hearing.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Drafting, updating and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation, including the employment law provisions of wider commercial agreements.

Key Competencies

  • A driven individual to work both independently and collaboratively with the team and wider stakeholders.
  • Strong drafting skills in relation to contentious and non-contentious work.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal matters to colleagues in an understandable and informative way.

Qualifications

  • A qualified solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience, specialising in employment law.
  • Competency in core IT applications.
